I’ve been tying to buy Karen a new car for some time now, but her 19-year-old Honda CRV still looks and runs great, so she has been reluctant to part with it. Saturday (9-17-16) we went to the 46th Annual Miami Auto Show to check out some possible new rides.
We stopped at Mike’s Irish Pub for lunch, before crossing the Venetian Causeway to the Miami Beach Convention Center. This Shock Top Representative fixed us up with T-shirts and shades.
I’ve been a car show fan since ogling the newest rides at the Texas State Fair as a grade schooler. Some things have changed. The Simulators are way cooler.

You could use a computer app to design any kind of paint scheme for your dream car.
Lamborghini makes a car for a second or third marriage junior if his dad blows the 401k on a midlife crises binge.
Perhaps most sobering of all were the “Classic Cars” that look like the ones in the student parking lot when I attended high school.
Back to Karen and the car hunt. Maybe the recent vacation we spent driving a convertible around rubbed off on her.
I get the feeling her practical side will win out and she’ll end up with another SUV. She looked mighty comfortable behind the wheel of the new Honda CRV.
